Smokey Gold Prom Makeup (no lashes) | 2016

2:24 PM

The beginnings of prom season are in the air, dress shopping, scheduling hair appointment, as well as picking out prom makeup. For this look i wanted to do something darker while still being pretty and not too heavy for a high school occasion.

Face:
Step 1: Apply your foundation as normal, I used a brush and Nars Sheer Glow foundation
Step 2: Conceal your under eyes, I used covergirl concealer and a small flat brush
Step 3: Using the Kat Von D Shade Light palette take the middle contour shade on a big fan crush and apply to cheek bones, temples, and jawline
Step 4: Using a flat foundation brush, use the yellow toned middle highlight shade in the Shade Light palette and apple to under eyes in a triangle shape from the nose to the outer edge of your eye, chin, bridge of the nose, and forehead.
Eyes:
Step 1: Prime the eyes. For this look I used the Original Urban Decay Primer Potion
Step 2: Using a morphe  blending brush, apply a generous amount of Urban Decay Tease to the crease
Step 3: Sweep Urban Decay Booty Call all over the lid as a base for the rest of the colors used.
Step 4: In the outer third of the lid, apply Urban Decay Busted
Step 5: From the inner corner to where you applied busted, pack Urban Decay Half Baked
(Optional) If you'd like a heavier gold on the lid, or half baked isn't showing up enough, take Lorac Unlimited and sweep it over Half Baked
Step 6: On a thin brush, take Urban Decay Blackout into the outer v and lightly blend depending on how dark you would like your makeup
Step 7: With a liquid or gel eyeliner, line your eyes and create a wing
On the lips I applied the Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in light pink.
And you're done!
Thank you so much and leave me any requests for any other makeup looks!
